Thank you for your interest in educational programs at Hudson River Park. As a valued member of our community, we wanted to share the upcoming SUMMER OF FUN programs and events with you. From music to magic to science & nature programs, Hudson River Park's SUMMER OF FUN will keep your family happy all summer long!    This year, Pier 62 will host HUDSON RIVERKIDS, featuring all of your favorite New York City family performers on Monday evenings starting June 5, FREE!  In July & August, the party moves down to Tribeca's Pier 25.   While you're on Pier 62, take a ride on a bear, a skunk, an eel or any other Hudson Valley animal on the Pier 62 Carousel in Chelsea.   Hudson River Park's newest free nature and science program, SHELL-EBRATE OYSTERS,  gives kids the opportunity to work alongside Park staff to restore oysters and learn how these bivalves benefit the health of the River.    With 4 miles of Hudson River Park waterfront, take a look at what you can do this summer!    Please forward this to families within your network and spread the FUN!   Starting June 6 FREE 6:30−7:15pm Pier 62 cross at W 23 St. Pier 25 cross at N. Starting July 3 FREE SUNDAYS July 3−Aug 21 4:30−6pm on Pier 84 at W 44 St THURSDAYS July 7−Aug 25, 5−7pm on Pier 25 at N. Moore St.    Calling all Makers! Join us at our outdoor Maker Space for weekly workshops challenging participants to design and construct solutions to real-world problems. Come tinker, test and learn in Hudson River Park.   PRE-REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED   Starting July 3 FREE   SUNDAYS July 3−Aug 21: 4:30−6pm on Pier 25 at N. Moore St.    Oysters filter water, engineer reef habitat and stabilize shorelines.Work alongside Park staff to restore oysters and learn how these bivalves benefit the health of the River.   REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED   Starting July 7 MONDAYS  July 11−Aug 29, 2:30−3:30pm on Pier 25 at N Moore St. THURSDAYS July 7−Aug 25, 1−2pm on Pier 46 Upland at Charles St.    Each week, kids ages 5−9 explore the wonders of the Hudson River ecosystem through discovery-based science experiments, nature inspired carfts and lessons on important Hudson River wildlife, such as seahorses and crabs. Beverages and snacks are available for purchase.     Starting June 5 FREE Learn how to fish while engaging with trained environmental educators about various river science topics. We provide the rods, reels, bait and instruction. Appropriate for adults and kids 5+.   June 5−Sept 18 Sundays 12−4pm Pier 25 at N. Moore St. July 3−Aug 21 Sundays 12−4pm Pier 46 at Charles St. Pier 84 at W 44 St. July 11−Aug 22 Mondays 5−7:30pm Pier 25 at N. Moore St. July 6−Aug 24 Wednesdays 5−7:30pm Pier 46 at Charles St.   No program on July 4     Starting June 5 HUDSON RIVER  NATURE WALK FREE Sundays through Sept 25 Meet at the Christopher Street Fountain at 9am   Learn about Hudson River Park's wildlife by joining experienced naturalists on guided nature walks along the Park's esplanade.   PRE-REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED     This signature 36 ft carousel has been created using 33 hand-carved wood figures of Hudson River Valley animals and one chariot, allowing for up to 36 passengers, per ride. The carousel building has been designed with a green roof and opens out to a large sprawling lawn and tree-lined pathways.   HOURS       FRIENDSHIP! PLAY. EXPLORE. ENJOY. It's your backyard.
