Kids explore food webs, meet animals in a touch tank and create marine-themed crafts. Discover the role of microscopic plankton in the Hudson River and learn more about the life of an oyster and how this bivalve is helping us improve the health of NYC's waters. Make and test your own rubber band boats and explore changes to the ocean's pH with NYSCI Explainers. | | | | |  
| How do water conditions change throughout the Hudson River? What impacts do seasons and storms have on water quality? Piece together the answers to these questions through hands-on citizen science. Come aboard for a dockside tour of the R/V SeaWolf, a research vessel owned by Stony Brook University's School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. Enjoy the production, City That Drinks The Mountain Sky, which tells the ongoing story of New York City's water supply from mountain top to city tap, through a shimmering tapestry of poetry, puppetry and music. | | | BIG CITY FISHING
Participants can drop in a line and engage with environmental educators on topics such as water quality, fish biology and more. We provide the rods, reels, bait and instruction. The Downtown Boathouse will offer free sit-on-top kayaks to paddle on the Hudson River. They give brief instruction and provide all necessary safety equipment as well as changing rooms and lockers and locks. LIVE SCUBA DIVES What's living in the Hudson River?
