SYEP 2019

SYEP 2019 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE!!

SYEP application deadline is Friday April 26 2019!!!       SYEP is open to NYC residents between the ages of 14 through 24!!

Reminder, students are selected by lottery through SYEP, submitting an application DOES NOT guarantee acceptance in the program (getting a summer job)

Student MUST have ALL items on check list (see application) if they are called by SYEP

Make sure you provide a phone number that ALWAYS works and one that allows voicemails, so your child does not miss the automated call SYEP sends to selected participants.

 

Complete the application online OR print hard copy then submit to application to one of the sites listed on the application/website....DO NOT hand in completed applications to LoMA!

Encourage your child to apply, if called and unable to work you can always turn down the position.  If your child does not apply by deadline he/she will NOT be considered for a job.   Most SYEP worksites will accommodate students that must attend summer school.  If your child DOES NOT submit an application by the deadline (April 26th, 2019) he/she cannot apply afterwards.

Applications for working papers will be processed in the order received with a 48 hour turnover from when handed in.   

***There is NO RUSH jobs on Working papers done at LoMA, so make sure your child does not wait until the last minute applying for working papers.  

All processed working papers are to be picked up at 3pm, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Parents CANNOT obtain working papers for their child.

**The school based clinic is available to complete physicals for working papers, if your child handed in health clinic application to Trece Cordero in the main office.

AGAIN, DO NOT HAND IN ANY APPLICATIONS TO LoMA staff.  It is best to complete the application online.  I suggest printing out the application, so you are aware of the questions that will be asked to make filling out the form online easier and quicker.  For any questions, call 800-246-4646
